Just picked up these little guys today, I've checked out some mother posts and from what I've concluded they're Orino's. I just wanna make sure.

You're right! They're both right around and 1" 1/2 - 2". And right again, these are my first Cichla and my first time in this forum. 87 degrees? That's REALLY warm isn't it. I currently have these guys in a 120 with 2 pikes, a jag, and a delhezi. Will all of them be okay at 87 degrees?

They've both eaten right outta the bag, cichlid staple and a small piece of shrimp each. They're both right at the front of the tank being 1000 times more sociable than my jag and pikes... But I thought 87 degrees would surely kill a fish... Waters at 79 degrees right now.

i dont know about the jag but my pikes were fine in 87 degree water.. no 87 won't kill cichla, actually 79 degrees will. they look a little sunken in so i would feed them a few times a day untill they they gain some shoulders (top flanks between the head and the dorsal fin) and then you can lay off feeding a bit ;)
