Hey guys R1 posted a link in the photo lounge to a great site which had this photo that shows the markings of individual pbass.
Thought i should post it here so it can help us fellow cichla keepers identify our pbass..

that's a pretty good description of pbass. I'm guessing that the pictures showed are all adults.

that's where all the "ID MY New PBASS" threads come from...I'm pretty sure a lot of the cichla people can ID a adult, but we need to come up with a plan to ID the baby Pbass to.

I've been spoiled that most my Cichla were attained already big in size. Only babies I've had before were Orinos and based my id's by the gold circle around the spots. Well apparently those gold spots do disappear to be mislead. I would assume this goes for only the Farmies as you really don't know what they mix the species with.

We are all hobbyist who's just guessing in the most part when we by Pbass from the LFS. We are not out physically in the river systems collecting the fish we keep. LFS Pbass, roll the dice and see what you get.

Specially now that Kelberis are being farm raised who knows what we will see in the future.
