Cichla Keepers in Australia

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if we have any Cichla keepers in Australia, and more specifically Queensland, that are trying to get these big fellas to breed??

there is at least 5-6 mono breeders i know of in qld including me apart from that i cant tell you to much else at this stage, may i ask why you are so curious? what do u keep etc?

I just really like the look of Cichla. And I know that experience is invaluable, particularly regarding these sort of things. I am just a newbie, but I just have some Africans in a 5foot right now, but if all goes well I am looking at a big upgrade at the end of the year, hopefully into which I can put some Cichla.

Hey mayo. I got mine about 4 months ago from wetherill park. Can you tell if there from any of them 6 breeders?

Hi guys im located in south aus.
And just ordered a 8x 3x 2. Im interested in stocking with bass..... how many would you reccomend I could keep in this, how much I should expect to pay, do we only have mono s avaliable in australia, are fry hardy and easy to raise or are they fragile..? Any other info would be great as I am looking at getting some in next few months ..sorry for the thread hijack; )
