One of my two 5cm kelberi is showing signs of ich, they are the only fish in 250l tank.
I know they handle high temps so I dont want to use meds, planning on using heat only.
I have already raised the temp to 86f and put in extra air pump.
my question is how high can I raise the temp?
how long does it take to kill the parsite with heat only?

thank you :)

Pbass can handle some pretty high temps. Just make sure to aerate the crap out of the water. I would say 3 days MINIMUM for ich to cycle at that temperature, and frankly, I personally would do up to a week, maybe even 2 weeks to make sure any encysted specimens in your substrate get killed.

Crank your tank temperature up to 88 don't worry peacock bass have a really good tolerance for heat. And then add aquarium salt. The high temperature boosts their immune system meanwhile making the parasites live out their life cycle faster and the salt kills the parasites while making your bass more active and healthy because it contains electrolytes and boosts healing of wounds. GOOD LUCK! As well as the following people said, aerate THE CRAP out of your water and do more frequent water changes. All the ich should be gone in 3-5 days.
