Cichla looking like a real bass!

So my peacock bass is about 2.5" maybe 3". my question is at what size will he start to look like hell start to when hes all grown up rather than well a juvenile somewhat undefined peacock bass.
 
ya..6-9" they will start getting their colors in a little more and just keep getting cooler from there. Cichla are the best! :)
 
alright thanks guys! and how long do you think itll take for em to get that big? i feed him pellets and frozen and he gets feeders because my senegal bichir will only eat feeders and frozen.
 
Give it a few months. If he's eating pellets he'll get there soon. Bichirs are easy to get off live...just quit feeding it. Pick up some hikari massivore and they'll all be eating it in no time. FIsh love it and grow big quick :)
