Cichla melanie and intermedia

Anyone know max size or growth rate on either of these?

Most my bass are between 7-10 inches and i was gonna pick up a 4 inch melanie a 4 inch intermedia and grow them out a little then add them to the group

I dont believe Intermedia get very big. XIngu are about avg size tho.

I searched thru them but are mostly on more common cichla dodnt fond much info on intermedia or melanie

Oh okay,can't help ya any further since my Xingu is only about eight inches at this point lol.I had thought about getting one of the small inters that are around but they really don't appeal to me so I won't waste my time and money on one.

Im just afraid that since they are smaller bass they wont catch up to the others i have

The intermedia probably will not catch up. They are new to the hobby so not much info on them. BUt they are definitely a smaller growing bass.

Xingu get about the same size as mono's. Mine is about 4-5 years old and 16-18". I have seen them much bigger tho.
