Hate to say it fellas but I think im gonna step away from Cichla for awhile. No financial troubles or divorces or anything drastic. Just gonna switch gears for awhile, try something new. Been in the Cichla game for a few years...

What do you guys think would be a fair price for the two cichla I have left?

1. Wild caught Peru Mono 14" give or take a little. Readily takes frozen foods no pellets.

2. Wild caught Ven. Orino 14" give or take some. Loves Massivore and frozen.

Both are healthy stunners!

Sorry to see you are stepping back from cichladom. No clue on the mono and rino prices but what about the Kelberi that is listed in your sig?

Good for you! Awesome looking cichla but change is always good! Do you know which way you want to go yet with the fish?

All hinges on whether or not I can sell this setup. If I can sell the R350 im going to do a 72x24x24 reef. Chiller, halides, refugium. All the good stuff. If I cant sell it, I will stick with freshwater predators. Would be nice to turn this 350 salt but im not interested in mixing or buying 100 gallons of saltwater per week for water changes.

Sucks to see you go.
And believe me, you will regret it! I know I did, though I didn't have much of a choice...
Go with some characins. :naughty:

sorry to hear you're getting out of cichla and even more so that you're going reef, but to each their own. That's all I have to say about that. I wish you luck if you end up w/ saltwater fish or whatever it ends up being. I'd say maybe 250 for the orino and 150 for the mono, but I'm not the best at pricing cichla.

oh and nick the orino should be given away to a guy who has already bought one of your fish. Not sure who that would be that would meet you at DNA to take that ugly orino off your hands but I am sure you can find some poor soul whos number you have in your phone to pick it up :)
