Cichla noob, need with ID before making a purchase

Hi Cichla gods!

I went through some ID threads and it's left me more confused. I'm thinking these are monos?
Can someone help me ID them so i can do a lil more research on them before purchasing. I will probably end up buying one to house with my arowana.

I have a small Royal Pleco around 8cms that i am worried the bass might try eating

Have u tried looking at the sticky Cichla ID thread? They show alot of different species there of Cichla. To me those look hybrid.

Yeah that's where i first looked but so many types i'm more confused than when i started. This might be a cross of some sort so i couldn't pin point.

Thanks, do you think it will make a meal out of the Royal Pleco? How fast do these guys grow?

How big are the monos, and the pleco??
They grow pretty fast.

P-Bass are around 14-15cm mark, Pleco is 8cm
Royals grow pretty slow so i'm worried.

I would not trust the mono completely.

yup somplace between mono and hybrid. more mono like though.
