How many commonly available collection points are there for Orino's? Which one is your favorite? Thanks, -Justin

Orinos occur in 3 countries: Venezuela, Brazil and Colombia. In those 3 countries there are many river tributaries and systems so there must be a whole lot of collection points. The ones I know to my knowledge that have been brought into the hobby are rio meta, rio cusiana, rio yucao, supposedly rio negro, and some other WC colombian orinos without a specfic location. There have been members on here in the past with some vens and brazilians. Boosten Audi had some juvies in the past if memory serves me correctly and Hulon might have some adults so they can attest to the differences between colombian and brazilians. Recently an MFK vendor, Discus Origins has imported Venezuelan orinos from Rio Apure and Brazilian orinos from Rio Jari which is awesome. There are many orinos in this hobby so it's pretty awesome. As far as my favorite one, they all are. :D

What permits would you have to get to just go down there and catch them and bring them back?

Beats the spit out of me but I don't have the disposeable cash on hand to up and fly off to collect and bring back any fish.Hopefully Jeff Rapps or some other vendor can round some up one day.

All peacock bass are illegal to ship out of Brazil, that's why you rarely see wild caught Brazilian peacock bass unlesss they have been smuggled out to Colombia or Peru. Even then they go right to Asia or Europe. You might go down and catch them, but you won't be leaving with them out of the airport ;)

Spoken like a true vendor.
