Hi guys ,ive got a 180 at the moment with the stock thats in my sig,but since i sold my 16" Dat the tank looks a little empty without him so i was considering some cichla.
I will be upgrading to probably a 10x 2.5x2.5 within a year and then in a few years a 9x4.5x3 so was wondering what cichla i could get,ive seen some nice monos for around £140 for two 10"+ and liked the look of them but dont know what size i should expect or worry about, i dont like the tems by the way,are monos a good species to get or are the kelberis the ones to have?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers Steve

Monos would be perfect for you. From what I have heard the temensis, azuls, pinimas are the ones that get really big. I would steer clear of them unless you already have a tank that is at least 30 inches from front glass to back glass. The monos, ocells, kelberi, etc would be perfect. They tend to stay a little bit smaller than thew others I have listed.

Cheers mike,do would two be ok or do they prefer more buddys?

Its like when you buy two fish of most species.....no good, unless they are a pair. Its better to have one or 3 or more to help spread the aggression.

Thats what i thought, thanks for the info.
