Cichla Temensis Growth?

Hi All,

A guy near me is selling some 2" wild caught Cichla Temensis for £10 each! I am going to snap them up and was just wondering what sort of growth rate I could expect? I'm sure iv'e heard that tems are the fastest and just wondered how quick that is? 1" a month? I know this is obviously dependant on multiple factors i.e food etc but lets base it on them being fed 2-3 times a day on fresh foods until I can get them onto massivore and 70% water changes 2x a week. 120gal grow out tank,

1 1/2"-2" a month. 18"-20" the first year.

is this the fish on aquarist classified,is there any varification on these fish being tems or wild caught.got a couple of pbass a few months ago meant to be temensis from a shop in ireland but seem to be something like occelaris and they are slightly deformed around the mouth.sold to me as german tank bred temensis.hope these are good,but seem very cheap?

my Tems grew from 1.5" to 11" in 4.5 months. This was with 2-3 feedings a day and super clean water.
