Cichla Vs. Victorians - stand-off

I put up some paper do they can’t see each other but 6-8 feisty little Victorians were fighting through the glass with one of my bass...

Lol don't underestimate a cichlid. My dad had a tank filled with a largemouth bass 8in, 3 yellow perch 6in, a bala shark 6in, a crappie 5in, a bluegill 4in, and a green sunfish 4in, and all of them wanted to eat this lil 1in mbuna and he ended up ruling the whole 60gal tank. That bass was the first to try and that lil mbuna bit him on the lip and he was instantly afraid of it. Them perch were interest fish tho, they pretty well hunted like wolves, 1 would wait and hide while the other 2 chased the minnows into position. It was also kind of neat to see the Bala shark actually hunt with the perch and schoal with em.

That’s funny, They just don’t realize they will never be able to reach the other fish. Doesn’t mean they can’t try though lol. I had that happen before I had to put up a barrier so they wouldn’t commit suicide on the glass.

I didn’t capture the height of the aggression... the bass was going nuts too before I stared filming....
