It was feeding day today and my 2 large Pbass's were playing tricks on me. These days I've been using a rod handle to feed my fish for some to get the right amount of food and it seems like my cichla has learnt to take it off the rod instead of going for it instantly when I drop the food in. I usually feed market shrimp and Lake smelts and they usually go nuts for it but now they sometimes won't even touch it until I use the rod to feed them. Has anyone else experience this or do I just have super smart cichlas? LOL:D

:ROFL:thats funny i was just watching your vid in the lounge and watching you use that rod .Bass seem to catch on quick

Ya I noticed that. U see how I dropped in a few lake smelts and my Bass won't touch it til it sees my rod go into the water? My Gator Gar sometimes does this as well.

:ROFL:fish are smarter than we think or at least i think they are.a perfect example my jardini when i shake my finger at him for screwin with my oscar he will stop he doesn't like it but he stops.sometimes he's a bully

My Pbass stop chasing each other when I wag my finger at them as well. I guess they forget what they are doing when I butt in. I am still a little bigger than they are, so I guess I'm still the alpha.
