I thought I would share some of the progress on my Nano Reef. Not completely where I want it to be yet, but getting there.

I will keep adding to the thread as it progresses :)

Cool. Nice progress :)
In pic #2, is the stand connected to the wall? incase it falls over?

What else are you going to add in there, reef stuff?

Some day Id like to try a salt tank, until then ill just keep checking your thread:D

Yup, We have a couple of labrador dogs charging about the place and small nieces/nephews visiting, so just a safety precaution.

Yup, more corals mainly plus a few more inverts to go with the hermits and cleaner shrimps that are already in there.

I would definately recommend doing one. I did have a 40 gallon reef before, and this is probably a stepping stone along the way to a bigger one again.

very niiiiice

Might not need the heater. My aquapod gets more than warm enough with the lights alone. Sometimes it gets too hot in the summer. Looking good though! I can't do hermits, my snails will flip over after a while an be lunch.

You are right with the heater at this time of year. In the winter I would need it though. Not had any problems with the hermits and snails so far, or in my previous reef tank. Fingers crossed. I know if there isn't a supply of new shells for the hermits to use, they will evict snails for their shells.

Awesome!! I don't want to take on a project like that just yet, for now my nano will stay as a little planted tank by the computer. ;)
