Cichlasoma taenia

Some photos of my pair of Cichlasoma taenia. This pair has spawned a few times. If you look carefully at the first photo you'll see some of the several week old fry the parents are currently caring for.

Hello Matt.
I love Acaras as well. About 90% of the fish I keep are Acaras. I got this pair from a member of another forum - The Cichlid Room Companion. He got them at some auction (if I'm remembering correctly) as fry and grew them out. By the way, how are your Cichlasoma dimerus coming along. Any spawning yet?

If you like the way these Cichlasoma taenia look, then maybe you'll like this other Cichlasoma as well.

Unfortunately the camera did not capture the true color of this fish. The entire body is covered in shiny, metallic green scales.

electric enigma, thanks. Unfortunately all of the species Cichlasoma are rarely available in lfs. Some never have and maybe never will be.
