cichlid advice please

hello, I am looking for some advice on stocking cichlids in my cycled 55g tank. I would like them to be on the hardy side and colorful. I appreciate any suggestions.

umm, most cichlids are very hardy... there are different kind of cichlid out there that are colorful.. you can do haps/ob peacock etc.. yellow lab are nice.. i wouldnt do zebra, jahinni, albino etc casue they are very agressive and meaner than other.. IMO..

You could do firemouth, convict, keyhole, texas...

I'd center the tank around firemouth and have as tankmates other similarly sized cichlids like blue acara or rainbow cichlids

dont do convicts, haha they are killer =) super agressive =)
