Whats the best way to introduce new cichlids to you tank ? My moori's are being picked on by my duboisi and brichardi when i first introduced them. any way to avoid that ?

Works for me as well. I always qt new specimens in seperate tank and introduce the new fish at night. And if there's still some serious aggressor, I will move that fish in the qt tank to let the new fish settle into the main tank for days or sometimes weeks if necessary.

It's alot trickier without a qt tank though. I actually change the decor at every water change so nobody can claim territories for more than a few days. Works like a charm.

I really agree with moving things around in the tank. It keeps all the original fish getting used to the new setting and of course the new fish also have to get used to their new home. Good luck.

Alright ill try that out, thanks guys

Rearranging decor and adding them at night are pretty good ideas. I always put new fish in a quarantine tank for a week before adding them to my show tanks. Besides making sure they are healthy, it helps get them over the stress of the ride home.
