Cichlid babys

I have a 55gal tank with a mix of cichlids in it and one day when i changed the look of the tank a found a baby. We though that was cool but three months laterwe have 25 babys in the tank all different sizes. How do i stop them from mateing.

use a divider to seperate the boys from the girls, or put them in seperate tanks.

Take a few contraceptive pills and dissolve them into the water....works everytime...

Don't stop the love making, dim the lights put some Marvin *** on and let the magic happen . My advice is abort them just look for eggs and suck them out, or let the other fish in the tank eat the babies. Too many eggs and babies in a tank is no good, babies die and cause allot of problems, and also eggs get fungi and such.

if they are a desireable or rare species then take them to a LFS they usualy will take them from you, people come into my work and i take them all the time and have no problem selling them for next to nothing. keep the babys coming if you can do this and someone wants them. but i would say you could also get a clown loach. i keep a discus tank for display with my boss and the loaches always eat the discus eggs. i dont know how big your tank it but if it is big enough throw a loach in there. thats always helps us.

What's wrong with babies? Some end up getting big and naturally restocking the tank and some end up fish food.
