i wanted to know how good this is compared to the normal cichlid gold? you carnt buy iy here in the UK but aim going to america soon and if its alot better i will pick a couple of bags up, iam now using cichlid gold as a staple for my cichlids but would this stuff be any better?

I Get some awesome colors out of this food......I swear by it....Plus with the PetSmart match, you can get it for like $9.00 bucks a bag! Same cost a regular bag would be!

Highly Recommended.....IMHO

I use Just reg Hikari Gold and the stuff is expensive from the places I go and can't find it cheap. A med. size bag of mini or med size pellets is like $15-18, I know I am getting hosed but oh well. Bio-Gold is too expensive around here. Although other Hikari foods are cheap like their krill I get for like 4 bucks for a pretty large bottle and the freeze-dried Blood worms are cheap as well. I have heard very good things about the Bio-gold. Hikari is a very reputable brand. Welcome to America soon lol.

Wow, at my LFS Gold and Bio-Gold+ are both $5 for a bag. I love the stuff, colors really pop when you've been using it for a couple weeks. I love it.

looks like i will have to bring another suitcase....anyone in orlando or FL no the average cost...i think its a bit wired from $15-18 too $5 we pay about £6$12 for the normal gold and its the big pack 250g i think. so i take it is realy worth getting some while iam overthere?

See if you can find either Hikari Complete or Hikari Excel. Those are great foods as well. Also what part of FL are you going to. Please tell me the Keys. Awesome fishing there and the water and the islands are fun. Altough I'm too young to drink so most of it wasn't all fun at night. They do this bar dash thing where you go to every bar on the strip and get drunk.

I just bought a 2 oz. (57g) bag of cichlid gold for $2.99. I live about 50 miles west of orlando so its probably going to be slightly more depending where in O-town.

near(next) to the theme parks

Yeah like Universal Studios and Sea World. The keys are nice but Orlando there is more to do activity wise. Key West is basically for relaxing and big fishing charters ( yellow fin tuna OH YEAH!). We caught a couple Lemon Sharks as well and suprisingly a Sand Tiger in deep sea. Sand Tigers aren't really native at all down there so it was a big shock to me. There are alot of Tigers sharks there on the reef. Oh man getting excited want to go back lol:cry: . I wouldn't know how much Hikari goes for down there though lol.
