I’ve been thinking about getting into cichlid breeding and I’m looking for ideas. I have a peacock cichlid tank and a female currently holding, not sure who the father is tho. But that got me thinking about getting into breeding. There’s a lot of African cichlid breeders near me so I was thinking about doing something different like sajicas or maybe rainbow cichlids . Something smallish and not to difficult and a little less common. I have a few connections locally to help sell the fry. Any ideas or advice is appreciated.

Apistogramma are quite popular and some variants are fairly pricey. Would definitely look into those, they also don't need much space.
That’s a good idea, didn’t think about those, do they breed fairly prolifically?

As far as I know yes, someone in the local hobby breeds them in 18" cube tanks.

Angelfish are always a good option. They can breed pretty regularly and sell easily. Everyone loves angelfish imo.
I thought about angels but there’s lots of people breeding those on CL, if I can get fry, I’ll be the only one selling cutteri. Hopefully others find them as awesome as I do
