i have 8 cichlids and 2 of them are for sure male and the rest are female i was wondering what the best way to start them breeding i think they are too young yet but i am getting my facts right now so i can know when to start all of it any help here will be greatly appreciated. thanks

if you can give more information about:the species, tank size, tank mates, etc. we could help

i got the all from a pet store they are african and the tank mates are one dojo loach a birich and a bamboo shrimp the size of the tank is a 35 gal♣

if they are mouthbrooders give them plenty of rocks, hiding space.many african cichlids need hard water, high PH.you can add shells, crushed coral to the bottom, buffers your water also.i would identify the species from photos, then search using google or the MFK search

well i know that at least one is a peacock and the others are up in the air maybe if i post the pic on here i can get some feed back on them ill prob. get to that this weekend.
