my cichlids live with live plants and dont bother them at all. only ones that ever did were breeding cons
One of mine likes to dig. I just let it does that and rescape the tank however it wants.

ya I have sand and they will take huge mouthfulls or just fill their mouth and use it as a dozer, its fun and good times, and honestly sometimes they do a better job than I do moving stuff about.
