If I leave for 3 to 5 days should I not feed them at all or get one of those feeder things that they can eat gradually? I'm leading towards not feeding them.

depending on what kind of fish you have, from my experience there is no such thing as "gradually eating feeders". if feeders are in their, they will get eaten all at once.

Thats what I have figured that I should just let them fast for a few days. As far as feeders I meant one of those things that supposedly lets them eat over time. Not feeder fish.

The white compressed vacation feeder right? Those stink up the tank :D. More harm that benefit IMO.

I have left mine for over a week with no problems
I do however give them a few small feedings for a couple of days when I get back so their stomachs can expand back to normal slowly. I read that last bit somewhere cant remember where but it made sense to me

they'll be fine. i fed my severums, and other fish, last saturday and came home today and everyone was fine. feed them two days or the day before you leave. do a nice sized water change the day before or of you leaving and everyone will be alright
