Cichlid for 55g?

Can i put a big cichlid in 55g with a 4inch black male convict?
I have a mean ass 4inch male convict who attacks me everytime he sees me, would i be able to put a big cichlid with him? GT, Texas, etc. just one more cause its kinda boring with one black convict.

If he's that nasty, I'm not sure there's many fish that would fit into a 55g nicely but be able to put up with him. I was going to say that a severum or maybe the GT could potentially fit, but convicts can be very hit or miss with their tankmates...

My Con is so mean that he has to live alone. If it were me I would get a smaller tank for just him, and free up your 55. It is kind of entertaining watching mine trying to attack me through the glass, and it's really fun vacuuming the gravel back into place after he piled it all up nice, and neat into the corners. This really pisses him off.
