Cichlid for my 30 gal?

Hi, I want a cichlid with a lot of personality similar to a midas or an Oscar but I want one that will be ok alone in a 30 gal, my filtration is very good, maybe an EBJD

Thorichthys ellioti. Put in smaller fish in there (like cichlids) and assuming that the Ellioti is male, it'll chase the rest all over. Will also jump out of the tank to eat food (or so I've been told, mine never did tho, prolly wayyyy too fat haha) and flare up, which looks amazing. Plus its coloration in and of itself is amazing anyways.

In a tank that size there aren't too many fish bigger than convicts that will be able to be there for life. A male can get 6"
