Okay i have a super aggressive six foot cichlid tank, everything was good for years, a friend of mine had a hugee male salvini that killed everything in his tank. Salvini have teeth can hold their own. Few months everything was good. But when the chipokae hit six inch he killed off my best fish. First the salvini, then my five star jewel who seemed to be okay, i mean the five star and chipokae would spar but neither would win until i just found the five star torn up. He killed the salvini and five star over night. I didnt think it was possible. The five star was an inch smaller and female though. the salvini was a inch bigger. Anyways i gave him to a friend who has a tank full of devils and hes doing good in there good god. Texas cichlids that were 10 inches, other mbunas nothing could hold their own and i always had to take them out. I am never getting these again, they are one of the most beautiful fish it sucks. The texas and red devil are the same size. But he is not able to phase devils yet he picked on the texas by nipping it and swimming around it. He cant do this to the devils for some reason. They must have thicker skin?
