My peacock seems to be gulping and also is very shy and is swimming slowly.
He can swim fast if he wants to but is way easier to catch with a net than the others and doesnt have a reaction when i take him out of the water as the others do.
He has not been bullied, he sometimes chases other fish out of his cave and also i dont see any signs of bloat as he also doesnt come up to eat very often.
He is also one of the more colourful peacocks in the tank.

I am not sure what to do now, i checked on him just a moment ago and he is now floating upside down, pretty much dead.
I dont know why, his stomach is not bulging but the symptoms look like bloat. He is not gulping anymore and i have put him into a smaller temp tank with the display tank water and dosed some prime into it.
Anyone know? he is still full colour and is just lying there, i would hate to see him go

Try and do like clown said add a little salt and black out your tank with lights off and hope for the best. Good luck..

He died within a few hours of making that video, which is odd because he was active to a point and was feeding as well. I think it was a parasite that he may have had since i bought him although i cant be certain. I wasnt able to add any salt as the lfs were not open, but he died before i would have been able to anyway.

Sounds like a symptom of serious overfeeding! I may be wrong but its a main cause of death! How often and how much did you feed? Water is in check?

Do you have the top of your water have any movement? Gulping is also a sign of the fish not getting enough oxygen in the water.

there is a lot of movement across the top, i have 10 other fish that are fine, i think it was an internal infection or something but one moment he seemed fine except for the gulping and shyness, then the next he was dead, no other fish bothered him.
