Cichlid ID, possibly a hybrid

Just what you guys where hoping for another ID thread! lol

Im stumped on this one, just got him from the LFS today. They hand't the slightest idea what it was and just sold it to me as a misc cichlid for $4. Its about 3" long and is quite lively. Some of the marking remind me of a JD but I don't think he can be a pure JD as his shape and side marking are totally off. Any ideas?

Looks like a jack dempsey to me....or some kind of jack dempsey hybrid

I wish I could have got a full side shot of him showing his fins more. His shape and anal fin just dont look JD at all. And he doesn;t have any blue speckles on his sides at all. I saw a JD/RD cross on google thats looked like a possibility.
