Trying to figure out what these guys are. They came in as "Fajita Red Cichlids"...I thought it'd be some sort of red devil, but nope...not even too much "red" about them at all. I'm wagering a guess at some sort of acara, but I'm really not too sure:

Thoughts?

Definitely not fajitas...Those normally come with sauteed onions & peppers in a flour tortilla....

Sometimes with a white corn tortilla... mmm... fajitas...

Deffinately appear to be a Cichlasoma species, though they might be too young to tell at this point. They pretty much all look similiar when young. I think I see only 3 anal spines, which will help narrow it down. How large are they about? Without knowing size, I'd guess a northern clade species as rather than a southern (portalegrensis, dimerus, boliviense) given their plain coloration ... assuming they are already a decent size.
