cichlid ID?

i didnt think it was a convict because of the top fin. how it flows back above the tail. i have an orange fish with black stripes and i was told it was a convict but i want to make sure.. i will post it when i get a pic
I agree.....convict that isn't looking so good. I've seen plenty that the dorsal is very long....couple diff. strains in particular. Orange one w/black bars and they told you its a convict??? Females get an orange/red abdomin when they want to breed.....and there's also the "pink" convict that is all white/orangish.....some more pics please of both!!!
