In the first 2 pics, the prominent mark on the gill plate, and large mid body blotch, and slightly more streamlined body are all characteristics of either Andinoacara blombergi, or latifrons, but both these species is considerably rare in the hobby so far, so more likely one of the other acaras, as mentioned above.
And yes, the last 2 pics are not cichlids, probably one of the many Lepomis species.
Were both from a LFS? or caught in Florida, or some other gulf state?
