3 silver dollars - 5", 50 gallon tank. I was thinking of putting some firemouths in there. Have any ideas? or problems? suggestions?

Firemouths are a great fish and an excellent choice for a tank that size.
Other choices are: convict or convicts (if you want ALOT of them). African jewels or a Jack Dempsy, maybe a Green Terror, Salvini perhaps.
These are the popular smaller chichlds I would suggest in that size of a tank.
Tbar cichlid/keyholes/firemouth/convict/blue acara/Flag Cichlids/Nicaragua Cichlid /to name but a few
Adult Salvinis or Adult Jack Dempseys are both beautiful colorful fish.......Firemouths are cool to but I really only like firemouths when they get mad and flare out the red from there gill plates....
I had a fire mouth with SD in a 75 and the firemouth took over one half of the tank and would'nt let the silver dollars into that half of the tank and he was only 3". I got rid of the firemouth because of it. I have a 6-7" GT with them now and all is well.
