Hi all,

not sure where to post this but I would reckon this is a cichlid.

Does anyone know the species?

this is the best pic I can taken, given that it is constantly moving.

Thank you

My first impression is also a Tilapine, there are over 100 species of Tilapines spread over many genera, naturally ranging from the mideast , through Africa, but feral (introduced) throughout the world, including Florida (the one in the pic below)
My thought was the one in your pic is Oreochromis mossambiccus

Thanks duanes duanes , Theos.dad Theos.dad and N newworld

Knew I could count on MFKers for fish identification

Actually my mossambicus are going in the pond tomorrow…this strain is from south Africa and was marketed a few years back as a dwarf mossambique, biggest ones I’ve seen were less than 12”…
