i have 8 cichlids in my 29 galon, and the males of the group have their spawnnig grounds set up next to all the tank decorations... and my bigest female looks to be carrying something in the goiter of her neck... it's obvious she's got something inside her mouth... she gets attention from the other fish... but the 2 males with the best spawning nests both seem to have their attention equally invested in her... this is about 6 days after i had moved the bull male from the tank, to a small 3/4 gallon feeder tank because my frontosa was badly roughed up one morning when i found her... and i knew exactly who the perpetrator was... the potentially prego female is named plainy, and she still swims around the tank indescriminate of what the males are doing... she llooks healthy... just a little chubby around the collar...
I
was wondering what i can be expected to see in the coming days and what i should do to further the bond between all fish? get a 20 gallon for the big guy and see what i can mix with him? or throw all the smaller fish into the 20 gallon and give my bigger more agressive fish the 29 gallon?
?
thanks,
Ash
