Write down the Cichlid that best fits into the specific personality type, based on your experience.

1) Attention seeker/Sensitive:

2) Tough guy:

3) Careless:

4) Laid back:

5) Peace-maker:

6) Peaceful:

7) Pure evil:

8) Selfish:

9) Easily stressed:

10) Adaptable:

11) Friendly:

12) Confident

I think that is enough. Since I made this questionaire I will answer them too.

1) Attention seeker/Sensitive: (Oscar, sulks in the corner often)

2) Tough guy: Jack Dempsey ( Floats in the middle of tank while other cichlids are battling for territory, knows he is king and could wipe out his malawi friends if he wanted too.

3) Careless: Texas (Carpintis)

4) Laid back:
Texas (Carpintis, fishing debris out of my tank, moving rocks around and he swims around my hands and trys to bite my net)

5) Peace-maker: Jack Dempsey (Breaks up fights often)

6) Peaceful: Uaru (Never seen one aggressive at all)

7) Pure evil: Red Devil (Never had one, but never heard of a peaceful one)

8) Selfish: Oscars (Stealing all the food from fellow occupants)

9) Easily stressed: Black Nasty (Haitiensis, cannot have tank-mates other-wise die of bloat)

10) Adaptable: Jack Dempsey ( To water conditions)

11) Friendly:
Jack Dempsey (Once protected a small ill Jewel Cichlid and took him pieces of food and allowed him to shelter next to him)

12) Confident: Texas (My Carpintis, nothing is out of his limit) lol

Hope you get the time to take part.

Thanks

Ooh, ooh, can I play?

1. Oscar, because they want food. Idk about how sensitive mine were, but the way they lay on their sides when they're stressed is pretty unique.
2. Convict. Need I say more?
3. Im not sure I know how to assess the carelessness of my fish so I'm gonna switch this one to RECKLESS. My old fh takes this one simply for breaking stuff- heaters mostly.
4. My 13" male Jag was very laid back. The person who has him.now says he's a total killer. Go figure.
5. Jag again.
6. Define peace...
7. Yeah, red devils can be rather sadistic.
8. They're all selfish but I had a pike that took it to another level. He was just about always first to the food. On the rare occasion when another fish got there first, he'd have to pay for it by taking a swift blow from the pike and losing a few scales.
9. I agree, black nasties.
10. Mayan cichlids.
11. Idk, anything that does better in groups I guess.
12. MIDAS!

My midas seems to think it's a total bad ass. It's bitten me twice in the 3 days I've had it and it digs up sand from it's cave, swims to the front of the tank, and spits it out while looking at me. So, #2

1.) Oscar (seems to be the norm here)
2.) Convict; small but very tough
3.) i'd have to say jack dempsey or maybe a texas too
4.) vejas have always seemed to look laid back to me, but i've never owned one
5.) severum; all the ones i've had never wanted to fight any of my other fish
6.) uaroo also
7.) red devil... need i explain this one?
8.) oscar; or at least they're the piggiest
9.) my female jd seemed to be...
10.) red devil; mine was attacking me through the glass the day i got him from my lfs
11.) from my experience, i'd say severums
12.) convict again; they'll go against much larger fish, especially when in a pair

Haven't seen the Green Terror name come up yet, interesting :) and I don't have enough experience with cichlids to really participate in this :P I've only had JD's and soon to be getting Green Terrors :D
