cichlid pond

ok so im planning to build a cichlid pond made of wood with a plastic liner. any ideas on size for it and substrate on the bottom.
it will contain 6-7 frontosa and two emperor cichlids.what is a good way to filter and heat it?
also is there anyway to build a small window made of acrylic?

id go a 10x3x3 if u have space cut a window in the front and put sealant on the edge of it on the inside and seal it laying down put the acrylic or glass on the inside to make the pressure push it against the wall and help seal it.id also do 2 windows to help with the pressure strain
