ive seen this site several times and i know you need to subscribe to see the fish profiles. just wondering if this is a real good database and worth subscribing to.

If I had the spare cash, I would so do it. I used to use the site extensively before it became a pay site. I still go, but as you know it's rather limited access now.
I think the profiles over at cichlid-forum are pretty good. Good enough as to where I feel I don't need to pay for the CRC. I would like to though.... BTW - why don't we start a really good comprehensive profile section here?
It's $30 for a year. That's what, 8 cents a day? Totally worth it. Some of the (if not THE) best info on the web, and if you like cichlids in their natural habitat, they have all sorts of photos (and some videos) of cichlids in the wild.

The CF profiles are a good attempt at a comprehensive, easy-to-read database and they have some good articles. A good source for those beginning or casually keeping cichlids.
Although, if you're serious about cichlids and need more accurate and detailed information on any species of cichlid CRC is the way to go and absolutely worth it.
