Cichlid sold as 5bar General... Something different.

I just bought a fish yesterday sold as a "5 bar general". but i spotted it chasing around the real 5 bar cichlids in their tank... it ate one and i bought it for 2.49.

ID please???

Its stressed and lost its color but it was a bright yellow/green with red speckled fins and it already has teeth at not even 2 inches.

Looks like a typical, though stressed, 5 star general (Hemichromis elongatus) to me.
 
oh seriously called a 5 bar general?? wtf confusing! They had african 5 bar cichlids in the tank they were in... those things are blue with black bars and shaped like short gobis... nothing like this fish.

Why doesn't google show any results for this?
 
As posted that is a five star general. IME with this fish we had one that was nasty I always tell people it was the meanest fish I have ever seen in 14 years. We tried every tough fish we could think of and every introduction method possible. That fish wanted the whole 150 to itself at 3.5 inches. It was nuts I've never seen anything like it. From what I've heard that is not normal but I still have never got another despite its beauty. Good luck and check out the scientific name posted above for more info.
 
is it a piscivore? Not very big on african cichlids cause african cichlids are not very big... lol and i hardly know any with amazing predatory performance (beating up other fish doesn't count, thats just annoying)
