Hi people I have a 80gallon tank set up with sump ready to be stocked it’s L38 H26 D19 (inches) an I was thinking of just keeping one or two nice size cichlids but what do I keep I have a 180 already with severums geophagus and a Oscar what would you recommend tia

I enjoyed keeping a mated pair of Salvini in a similar sized tank. Maybe include a group of Swordtails for added color & movement.
With those dimensions, I’d say something in the 6 inch range is best. So cons, firemouths, acaras, sals, ebjd are all options.
A semi planted tank with a pair of rainbow cichlids and some tetras would look cool
For a tall tank like that, I would go with angelfish. They will appreciate the height and look great in there. If your water allows for them. What kind of water will you be using, and what is pH/hardness like?
you could get a fire mouth cichlid
im pretty new to keeping cichlids
i only have my one fire mouth but it seems to have much more robust behavior compared to tetras
it shows hiding behavior sometimes dwelling in pvc tubes compared to the tetras that hardly ever hide
i wonder if all cichlids are like that?

Yeah that’s all of them. Some are more outgoing than others, but that’s the basic idea.
