So I will most likely be getting new water pets next week for my 125 gallon. I’m thinking about getting one tiger Oscar, one Severum, and one blue acara. I have two firemouths and a bristle nose pleco in the tank already. Do you guys think this stock will work? Any advice will be appreciated! Also should I get dithers or just I play it out and wait?

It could work. No real need to add dithers, and it might get tight w/ the stock load. But would require good filtration and lots of water changes.

Only potential problem I see is aggression with the O, but I think you'll be fine. Instead of dithers, I'd increase my firemouth numbers.

I agree. Just depends on the oscar, but who knows, I've seen firemouths bully oscars. But adding more firemouths will disperse their aggression. More the better off you are.

What if instead of the blue acara I add two firemouths instead?

I think that’s a better idea. As long as the Oscar isn’t a royal prick it should work. I kept two oscars, a Severum, and a few other types of smaller fish for years with little to no problems in a 72x18x26

My two Oscars are both over 10 years old. My severum died a couple months back but he was around that old as well. Over the years I kept a few different things with them but they where always the core three.

They are fairly well tempered though, some lip locking between the two oscars every now and then. But for the most part they ignore the other fish I put in there with them. For instance my red Oscar is around 13inches (never actually measured) and white tiger is around 10 and right now I have a 4-5 inch Jack Dempsey in there and they could care less.

That’s not always the case with oscars though as I’m sure you know. Good luck, my rant is now over.
