I am not interested in the angels currently stocked, and looking for good ideas. I have a thick layer of flourite and lace rock with sword plants mostly and a few hygrophyla.

Rainbow Cichlids are plant friendly and get nice colors. I believe blue acaras are plant friendly as well.
You could do a pike one of the medium or dwarf sizes. A pair if u want

Thanks for the ideas so far, I have kept blue acara and rainbows, thinking about a couple of blue rams i already have plus something a little less generic like a small/medium size pike.

I think rams are pretty delicate so I'm not sure how good that would work out. It always could work if the pikes aren't too aggressive. Mine are pretty docile even to my small fish but can b territorial occasionally. Just make sure they can't fit in the pikes mouth one of mine ate my baby jag and I was furious lol

The pike + rams wont work.
Either going Pike and something mid sized or all small fish.
What about a few Pairs of Apisto? And maybe a Zebra Knife, they like plants, look sweet and max @ like 11-12 inches in most tanks.
