When I was 16 I bought a 60 Gallon Tank and I wanted to put some beautiful cichlids in there to eat guppies. My cichlids didn't get too big.

So, I'm about to put together a 200 gallon tank and want some cichlid suggestions.

What kind of cichlids get as big as Oscars, but are better looking than Oscars? (sorry, not a bad fish, but there are way prettier out there!)

Your suggestions will help me with my research.

Thanks

OMG man. There are soo many out there. LOL I can't even begin. Well yeah I can.. LOL

Argentea has been in my sight lately. Black Belt, Synspilium,Texas Blue, Heck pretty much any Veija! Also a Lionsi, Trimac, Red Devil or Midas, Barred Midas, lol... good god good luck! LOL

Crap...You're talking Africans... LOL Delete what i just suggested.

Frontosas! LOL

since this was posted in african cichlids, go with some big haps like Fossorochromis rostratus which are much more colorful than oscars

I just posted in Africans because it was at the top. I'm talking all Cichlids in general. But it made me choose a geography so I did.

Thanks for the suggestions, I like the list.

No, not just guppies. But I think I will enjoy watching them use their hunting skills.
