cichlid tank help

Hey everyone I currently have a 55 gallon tank but haven't got a filter or anything yet but I was wondering what cichlids and how many I should have.
The cichlids I would like and that are available are:
firemouths
rainbow
convicts
peacock
jewel
crimson tide

the more the better thanks

Take out convicts and firemouth and you're set. Make sure there are still hiding spots though... And add a filter lol.

Edit: try whatever you like, most of them are aggressive in their own way so it's kind of luck of the draw. Still, hiding spots are great.

I personally won't mix Africans and new worlds. But to be honest it depends on your filter on what and how many fish you can keep. If you can do two aqua clear (fluval) 70 or 110 (witch would be best). If you want a nicely stocked tank do just Africans like a group of 10 Malawi cichlids. If you do want central and or South Americans do convicts. Start with a pair soon you will have more fish then you'll know what to do with.
