Will a tiger oscar and red devil go better with two convict cichlids or two jack dempseys... And also would these 4 cichlids prefer a long rectangular tank or a square tall tank... Same size

Long rectangular for sure. Min 4'x18" for one oscar so Id say atleast a 125gal or more for all 4. I'd probably go with 2 JD's if you get a male and female convict they can be nasty while breeding.

Agree with the above...the red devil will most likely destroy the other cichlids. you can probably keep the other species together in a 6' tank if you exclude the red devil from the list

I recently tried adding a midas to my tank. It worked great for 2 ½ weeks and then things got bad. My oscars were bigger than the midas but the midas was still able to pick on the larger albino oscar. When they fought the inside of the oscar’s mouth would get shredded. So today I had to get rid of the midas. I have a 210 with two oscar’s and a pleco so I had plenty of room and it still didn’t work out. Great fish but mean as hell. I have some good videos of them in my 210 page. All of the fish used to swim together. Too bad it didn’t work out.

If you raise them all in at least a 150 you might have a shot at it. Get them all a little big then the RD.

I had a 14" RD in with my oscars and Jd and a pair of convicts in a six footer and it was ok. It sometimes depends on the fish and it's trial and error.

But you need to keep an eye on them and have a back up plan incase it kicks off. Maybe another tank to isolate a fish or ask a local shop to rehome one if it gets too nasty.
