Just wondering if I could house a silver aro with cichlids? Oscar, managuense, gt, salvini, severum, jack, firemouth, blood parrot, lyonsi and a couple plecos? All in a 150 right now, biggest is my O at 7" give or take. I would grow it out in my geo tank for now, red head, hecklii, standechneri, jurupari, and a couple blood fin tetras. Opinions?

how big is the arowana? and ur planning to upgrade right?if the aro is bigger then the cichlids and at least 4" bigger than oscar then i think its fine

The arowana should be twice as long as the cichlids.

well the only worry I have is that the aro will eat my gt. He is only 3-4" I wanted to get a little guy, put him in w/ the geos (largest one is a topajos at about 4, maybe 5") then put it in the big tank when he grows a little. I can get a 3" aro but I can also get a 10" aro. I just don't want him eating my fish, haha. I like them too much :D

Unless you willing to devote a tank just for the 3" aro, you'd be better off going with the 10 incher. Baby aros are fragile and require specific care, many so called safe and non aggressive tankmates end up killing baby aros. Not to mention all that are killed by insufficient tops, improper acclimation, unstable water params and gravel vac accidents.
