On youtube their is a jag and a wolf fish in the same tank. So could a Dovii be put in a tank with a red hi_fin wolf fish.

i would but if it doesnt work they both have teeth and it would be pretty messy and also red hifins are $35.00
i agree the dovii would either get along with it or kill it. wolf fish dont earn there aggressive title. they are great predators but not that aggressive. my old dorado use to beat the tar out of my common wolf.

I own a Hi-fin Rainbow he's a specticle for sure at feeding time, I own a Dovii also - the dovii would be a few inches larger and I can guarantee the wolf would make serious short work of the cichlid however when the dovii reaches 18- 20 " the rainbow @ 8" would be like a worm on a hook. Wolf fish are best kept as Dovii - in mating pairs or all by themselves.

Are you serious? that was not a 24" mala and full grown jag. the mala was about 10-11" and the jag was about 8-9".
As for the red wolf killing the dovii.. no.. not a chance unless the Dovii was small enough to eat. My Red Wolf has never killed a fish due to aggression. My Dovii on the other hand has killed everything i've put in the tank with him (from aggression).
Now my mala.. it'd be a good fight between him and the Dovii and I'm 80% sure the mala would win.. but I'm not gonna find out
