my 11 peacock s out grew the 30 gal i had them in so i swapped tanks with my 55 gal but i couldn t get my 3 clown loaches out of my huge ornamintal rock( hollow in side). Pressed for time i added the peacocks. Both the loaches and the cichlids r small, about 2-3 inches, will they ever get used to each or should i try to make a trap?

ehen ever i try to catch them the hide in the rock.

p.s. cichlid r hard to catch

I think that if they grow at the same rate, they should be fine, since clown loaches grow big, too. But peacocks still are very voracious. And that tank is way too small for when the fish grow up.

Sounds like your tank may be too small for all those fish.

As far as clown loaches and peacocks being together, you will have no problems. Most fish ignore clown loaches.

thx for the input guys at what rate do peacocks normally grow. i have a ehiem acco for a 80 gal and a emporer 400 on it atm, and i was told to ceep cichlids crowded to thin aggression is this true?

when theey get to big for the 55 gal i will start my first diy plywood tank 6'x3'x3' woot

Start building the tank now, lol. Pbass tend to grow a lot faster than loaches, from what I've seen. Pretty soon you'll have some 8" p bass on your hands, I give it 4 months if you are keeping up with your water changes for that many fish in a 55, which should be 50%, 2 times a week. P bass are not aggressive compared to many other cichlids, they are more food aggressive than anything. Overstocking dues tend to eliminate the chances of a fish dying cause there are just so many other fish to distract the aggressor. But 11 adult p bass will eat a hole in your pockets, lol.
