hi i have a 90g with a green terror a jack Dempsey 2 sun catfish and a striped peacock eel and i was wondering if i could keep a stingray that is legal in AZ and can fit in a 90g is that possible

what about an Atlantic stingray cuz i was told they get 8 in. and they were selling the ray acclimated to freshwater and they were selling it for 120$ could that work? and if so is 120$ a good deal

any ray is really too big i wouldnt trust a ray that has been acclimated to fresh water. it would take along time and would probably die. its not worth it.

Wouldnt do it.
Rays have a high bio load. A 90 gallon is not big enought to handle that amount of bio.
Now if they are telling you that a saltwater ray is acclimated to freshwater, there is a problem. It wont live. Besides the fact it will put off even more bio being in a freshwater tank. Sounds like to me they are just trying to make a sale. Not worried about the ray at all.
If you really want a ray, please get a bigger tank. Rays are cool to have, but you have to be ready to care for one. Its not a $5.00 trow away fish (no fish is really), its a care takers job. Not something to take shortcuts on just to be cool and have one..

well i just wanted one because i think they are AMAZING creatures and its been my goal to get one so what is the smallest ray for a wanna be beginner ray keeper and i'll see if i can upgrade if not i'll probably see if i can get a lima shovelnose or a silver datnoid
