ok so i alway give my agressive fish something to mess with when im gone so i gave my red devil a clear fishing bobber he seems to love it he will swim around and bump it around the tank.
does any one else ever give there fish toys to mess with?
 
i dont know y i thought of it i just kinda thought he might get bord since alot of us cichlid keepers keep our fish in relatively plain tanks because they will destroy a aquascape
 
I've always had success with ping pong balls, kinda of the same idea with the bobber. My oscar would bounce it around the surface of the water.

Mines was probably at least 6 inches by the time he took interest in playing with it.
 
years ago i had a 14" o that would play with floating ping pong balls and would even pop them out of the tank.I poked holes in a couple and sank them so he could push them around the tank.
 
Yeah my 12 inch jagXtexas hybrid has ping pong ball,knocked it out a few times.another I tried was a plastic worm/lure used for fishing,hook removed-I tied it with line to keep it near the surface.
