That's pretty sweet. My polys would just sit and stare at a toy for about 5 hours then run away LOL. I wounder if my big Fahaka would like a ping pong ball or something?

Wouldn't you worry about a puffer popping it? Seems like they could crunch it if they cared to.

Also, your avatar is awesome.

ok so for example with the fahaca and pinkg pong ball i dont think it could grip because have u ever tryed bobbing for grapefruit u can do it ur teeth slid down the sides because its to large a apple is already hard so think bout the pinkpong ball and ur puffer like u where bobbing for grapfruit u might get it but u prolly wont

This is stupid
.

But does ping pong balls soak water and sink or float? And would an adult oscar be dumb enough to eat it?

they float if no holes are in it.if you poke a hole it will sink.most fish know its not food,i think owners do this to keep fish from getting bored. its worse if the try smashing heaters,or intakes

yea most of the time they see the object like its part of the tank instead of food so just like cichlids do, rearange things so they constently rearange the ping pong ball because it will float around on its own

I have a ping pong ball i think they soccer it around. Ive seen those fake fish floaty things before it never occurred to me to get one.
